I’m so excited to finally get myself a rotating tree stand. I bought two after Christmas so I have not been able to use them yet. I have only plugged them in to verify they do work. These stands are super quiet, you have to be really trying to listen for it to notice the sound. There is no onoff switch. It just plugs in. There also is no control of the speed, which is super super slow. I saw conflicting information in the questions section about what size tree this base handles. It can accommodate UP TO a 1.25” trunk. The stand can adjust for smaller size trunks by tightening the provided pins around the trunk. Included instructions states it can handle a tree height of 7.50” and a total decorated weight of 100 lbs. This all adds up to this stand can only be used with artificial trees. It also states a max of 875 mini lights. If you had dreams of going all Griswold with this tree, that may be an issue for you but I think in general that this will be sufficient for most.. Angie.
