I was so excited to get this rolling library ladder ….Arrived fast, laid out all the pieces and started assembly…directions were clear and was able to put it together myself…black iron rails are nice and the steps are thick….then went to install rolling part….i apparently didn’t measure correctly and was short…so bummed….now I will have someone else measure again and order the right size this time ….cant wait till the right sized to get here. This is great! The ladder is sanded very smooth and soft, no additional sanding required. Ladder is difficult to assemble, as in awkward. You will need someone to hold things and fiddle with it with you. The rail was super easy, and the metal pieces are pretty substantial. My only complaint is that one of the screw heads sheared off, so now I don't have support there, but the hassle of trying to tap it out has prevented me from dealing with it unless I have to. Ladder adjusts easily and rolls very smoothly! Buy it, it's worth it.. Anonymous. US. Mon Apr 20 2026

This is a gorgeous ladder, and well-made. It has hooks at the top and slides smoothly along the rail. It can be extended for use, then stored upright. The natural color is pretty but could be stained if you wanted to. It’s sturdy, even with just one brake locked. The ladder was easy to put together—I recommend loosely fastening all the pieces into place first, then strategically tighten all screws to secure. The rail was also easy to install. The part that attaches to the wall can slide to where you need it, then tightened. We removed one bracket, used a laser level to mark the holes and pre-drill them on the bookshelf, then loosened all the brackets so we could slide them into place to secure. The hardware itself is solid, but the provided screws were cheap. We replaced them with some better screws and had no problems after that. The directions are lacking, but not hard to figure out. The height of the rail is a bit flexible because of the hook mechanism, so that was convenient. (You do need to have a drill bit for getting through the wood itself to install the hooks.). Betsy. Fantastic! We bought the ladder plus two 4ft extension kits to span the width of this library wall. The ladder was not complicated to build, the ladder feels sturdy, glides easily and smoothly. The wheel locks are easy to apply and keep the ladder firmly in place when you are on it. I feel very safe using this ladder all the way to reaching the books on the highest shelf, 12feet up! We love it. Quality wood and finish. Our only problem was the brass connector bolts were too short for our handmade ladder which is 1 34” thick. But minor inconvenience for the lovely handrail. Becky. Maine. Wed Jul 09 2025
