A bit smaller than expected when compared to the staged photo, might be a stock photo for past size options. All dimensions were correct though. The drawer`s base is a thin backing for so it can bend and break with heavy objects. It did work out in the end for the size of our space. I just expected the extended table to have leg room for 4 people. Build was not difficult, maybe 2 steps that having a partner would be good. I built it by myself in about 3 hours. Very happy with my Pilarcitos Kitchen Island! It was pretty easy to put together, only needed my hubby to hold the frame while I added the two end pieces then at the end when we needed to flip it right side up. So glad I ordered this island. It really is beautiful. Came with all parts and clear visual instructions. I put it together myself. It took me about 4 hours but I double checked the instructions before screwing the pieces together. I’m not really going to use it for food prep so don’t know how that would work.
