I loved this table when we got it. There was a very large flaw about the size of a dollar bill that I decided to live with. Then the first time we used it my glass sweat on the surface and it left a mark. I thought it would dry, the mark remained. Every drip leaves a permanent mark. When I tried to wipe the whole area, I took the gray was off. That was unacceptable to me so I lightly sanded the surface, filled the hole, gray washeded the surface and then put a finish coat on the whole thing. This table is substantial and beautiful! The legs are beautifully shaped and solid. The finish on the top is similar to the finish on a grand piano-- it is black, streaks easily, and you cannot see any wood grain. Still, when we polish it carefully, it has an elegant gleam. The top and both leaves sustained damage in shipping. Wayfair offered us a discount and suggested a product to disguise it. Since the table is distressed anyway, we agreed. Id recommend this table if you have a large enough area and like SpanishCaribbean Colonial style. Ive paired it with brown leather, Spanish Revival chairs and it looks spectacular. I missed two delivery windows because I was not aware it came with white glove service even if you didnt request it. The first table came very damaged so they sent a replacement. That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. It was hard to find the chairs that were in one of the pics. wayfair showed a picture of some ugly metal stacking chairs under their "Get everything you need" UGH!! WHY?! I had to look through ALOT of chairs to find CHIANTI upholstered side chairs. They match the table PERFECTLY! I don't know why they don't link these chairs to the table?? White glove service on the table (which was great, they assembled it & they took away the cardboard & wrappings) but not on the chairs. 6 chairs, 2 to a box, well packaged-but I couldn't fit all of the packaging in my recycle bin-had to put some in my neighbors bin-and alot of styrofoam that we cant recycle where I live so I had to break it all up & put in a big trashbag. UPDATE Nice looking table however veneer top started bubbling up 6 weeks after delivery and setup. Contacted Wayfair and was told we would hear from incident resolution team within 3 business days. After 3 weeks I called them back and they immediately shipped a new table top. Delivered and installed today. So far no bubbles in the veneer. Absolutely stunning table!! It is a solid and sturdy piece and adding the additional two leaves in is very easy. The table is lighter in color than the online picture shows with a slight yellow undertone but overall the color is beautiful and works very well in our dining room.
