Not water resistant at all. The slates on top have gaps that let plenty of water in. Bought this to store outdoor cushions and I'm constantly trying to fight musky mold since everything in the box gets wet and stays wet much longer than if I stored things directly in the elements. Everytime it rains I have to pull everything out of the box to let it air dry.
