River Coffee Table

There is something mesmerizing about the power of water and how it softens rock into a water-worn stone. Designer Jason Phillips found inspiration in nature's ability to shape a hard surface into something beautiful when he envisioned the River Stone collection, which includes the River Stone Solid Coffee Table. With no harsh lines or hard edges, there is no need to worry about bruised shins and bumped heads given the delicate outline of these stunningly simple pieces. Made of composite in a warm finish, this rock-shaped coffee table with its flat top, which is highly functional, is one of many products we offer in this collection, each of which reflects the ethos that the Phillips collection personifies: modern organic.

Very beautiful and we get so many compliments. Table is super light so easy to move around (which I appreciate). However, please be aware that the sloped edges add a complexity of shrinking the usable flat space on top for drinks or anything you want to place on top. I am fairly certain that at some point, someone will place their drink too close to the edge and it will slide right off onto the carpet. Also, measure your space before purchasing -- this table feels smaller than you'd expect. Probably because of the many curved edges that shrink the volume overall.. Chrissy. Florida. Thu Oct 03 2024

Cladding a sleek black upright rectangle in the flowing patterns of Golden Acacia wood was the brilliant move we made with the River Console Table. The sleek black base contrasts the lovely warmth of the natural wood to make a statement wherever it is placed. Because it is double-sided, it can go against the wall but it doesn’t have to be placed with one side hidden, which makes this a flexible piece in a room. The clean lines of this contemporary wood console table make it perfect for modern interiors, and the use of reclaimed wood illustrates our deep appreciation for melding nature and design.

I polish it about once a week, n looks amazing. I get a lot of compliments on if from friends n neighbors who visit or wanna see the place.z. Scott. Tue Oct 06 2026

The finish on our River Stone coffee table is a marvel of technology, as flakes have been applied to the surface. This not only makes it look like real stone but also results in a very strong weather-proof finish. It simply will not scratch and the surface weathers the outdoors for several years. The organic feel of this coffee table shaped like a rock introduces softness into a contemporary space and the naturalness of a traditional one. It’s made of composite so it’s much easier to move around than real stone. We offer a number of sizes and finishes in this family of products, each of which shows our deep appreciation for melding nature and design.
