Shell is a solid-color rug with geometric line drawings in relief, like ancient ammonite fossils. Its tone-on-tone effect is inspired by the accidental designs of beach tides: the smoothness of seashells eroded over time, imprints left by waves on sand, the organic textures of corals and rocks.

Our first collection of washable wool rugs involved many rounds of revision to ensure these pieces were beautiful and functional. Their modified construction makes the rugs quite supple, so they're more easily squashed into a washing machine; without compromising on thickness, softness, and fluffiness. The graphic simplicity of the linework sings across their soft fields, allowing the high-low effect of the pile to shine through.

Just as there are myriad techniques of rug weaving, there are many ways to weave a Vessel. Each design’s texture mimics the techniques of coiling, plaiting and twining, achieved by juxtaposing raised and shrunken parts of the fiber. Willow’s all-over design features thin tone-on-tone wiggly stripes that create a checkered look with a classic plain weave.

The stain-resistant Cloudflower Collection draws inspiration from traditional floral rugs. In our research, we looked to these classic hand-knotted florals, ikebana arrangements, surrealist landscapes, and the spacious, almost mystical composition of certain Oushak designs. The Nimbus rug features a ground of puffy amoeba, floating in a garden.

A mixed-fiber flatweave rug with a subtle checkered pattern. The Reveal Collection is inspired by overlapping layers of paint: the moment when you remove the top coat and uncover another hue you never knew was there. To translate this into a weave, we used contrasting colors, focusing on the interaction of warp and weft. Named for Zion's sedimentary rock layers, Kaibab has a kind of abrash effect, which on closer inspection is actually a micro-check pattern created by the movement of the warp and weft.

Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy. Gaziantep, where these rugs are made, is home to many ancient Mosaics, whose edges have softened imperfectly over time. The Mosaic Collection is made of raised pile squares with soft edges: when your foot hits the pile it crushes, and its silklike memory means the squares move with wear, so it looks better as you live with it. Our washable Mosaic Collection has a pile design made up of small squares, much like its namesake, and behaves like its namesake as well: the small boxes morph shape once they're walked on, creating a series of softened, imperfect squares. Susa is named for the site of ancient Mosaics made with the first known glazed tiles, from around 1500 BC. Its design of Albers-inspired concentric squares is a single color with a tone-on-tone effect.

It's exactly what I was looking for in my new living room. Perfectly soft and enough texture in the design that it doesn't feel "flat" but won't be the focal piece of the room. Color is exactly as expected, but realize that it can vary depending on the direction of the fibers and how the light is hitting them. Ebb is a solid-color rug with an all-over abstract, meandering stripe in relief, like lightning or rivulets. Its tone-on-tone effect is inspired by the accidental designs of beach tides: the smoothness of seashells eroded over time, imprints left by waves on sand, the organic textures of corals and rocks.

Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy. The Vessel rugs celebrate the art of basketweaving, drawing on intricate patterns and textures that have been passed through generations. Just as there are myriad techniques of rug weaving, there are many ways to weave a Vessel. Each design’s texture mimics the techniques of coiling, plaiting and twining, achieved by juxtaposing raised and shrunken parts of the fiber. Yucca’s elongated rounded checkerboard basketweave pattern highlights the cut pile, adding a bit of shine.

Sybil's graceful, geometric linework is acrobatic, overlapping, and perfectly balanced. Revival's first collection of washable wool rugs involved many rounds of revision to ensure these pieces were beautiful and functional. Their modified construction makes the rugs quite supple, so they're more easily squashed into a washing machine; without compromising on thickness, softness, and fluffiness. The graphic simplicity of the linework sings across their soft fields, allowing the high-low effect of the pile to shine through.

Pretty rug and well made. Be aware there may be dark (almost black) threads and fibers in the weave that stand out in some places. If that will bother you, this would not be a good choice. Soft and straightforward, this rug has a loop pile construction which places it halfway between a flatweave and pile rug: just enough cushion and comfort without being super shaggy. In this piece, jute and wool are blended for texture. Jute is a natural fiber with a golden sheen, known for its tensile strength and versatility. The lanolin naturally present in wool provides its trademark luster and protects the fiber from breaking or shedding. These are woven onto a cotton foundation for further durability. Russet is a rich reddish brown with shades of cognac, terracotta, sandstone, bone beige, and tan.

Milord is a casual floral rug, an undone rose garden, with earthy blue-green leaves and ground. Arts and Crafts artisans were particularly interested in the natural world, drawing inspiration from its colors and movement. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Edith Collection features soft geometric motifs with a muted palette. Craftsmanship and showing the hand was a big part of this decorative trend, so each rug is carefully hand-knotted, dyed with an artisan vintage wash, and made of soft 100% New Zealand wool pile on a sturdy cotton warp. Their designs play with repetition and negative space, drawing from both folk art and romantic styles, as was typical of the day.

Their color gradient runs vertically as opposed to the standard horizontal (you can see this most clearly on the runners), making you look twice. Classic, but with a twist.
