[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didnt expect to love this saucepan this much, but this 8" 3qt one really surprised me in the best way. First off, its gorgeous. The copper exterior gives it such warm, elevated look that honestly makes my whole stovetop feel more high-end. It's one of those pieces you don't feel like hiding away in a cabinet. Beyond looks, it performs really well. It heats up evenly and holds temperature nicely, which makes cooking sauces or reheating food feel much controlled (no random hot spots). The size is also super practical, perfect for everyday use without feeling bulky. The handle feels sturdy and comfortable, and overall it just gives that "quality" vibe when you are using it. It's a great mix of style and function. If you are someone who appreciates cookware that looks as good as it works, this one is definitely worth it.. Patriciar. Tue Apr 21 2026

Revered by chefs worldwide, copper is recognized as one of the most efficient metals to cook with due to the exceptional heat transfer and control that copper provides. Copper cookware is an essential tool for creating amazing sauces and reductions as well as delicate preparations that require exacting temperatures like many desserts. Copper responds to temperature changes quickly, allowing you to adjust cooking temperature on the fly with faster results than other metals. The Viking 4-ply Contemporary Copper Cookware modernizes cooking with copper by adding an induction capable cooking base; traditional copper was not induction compatible. To make the pan induction capable, we grind the copper off the bottom of the pan, exposing the stainless steel layer. The multi-ply clad construction transfers heat efficiently across the bottom of the pan as well as up the sides. The exterior copper layer provides exceptional temperature control. The unexposed core is stainless steel and aluminum to transfer the heat quickly and evenly throughout the pan. The interior cooking surface is a non-reactive surgical grade 304 stainless steel which will not react with the acids in your food or impart a metal taste. The set includes domed metal lids that help lock in flavor as you steam or braise. The dome shaped lid helps the condensation fall back into the pan, keeping your food moist during cooking. The interior of the saucepan, sauté pan, and stockpot feature convenient measurement marking to allow you to add water without having to use a separate measuring cup. Signature Viking handles are solid cast from stainless steel and feature a heat break to help the handles stay cooler during use. They will get hotter during use when using a gas stove, so we always recommend using protection when touching cookware that has been heated. Viking Contemporary Copper is durable for stovetop use, functional enough to finish or cook dishes in the oven to 600°F and elegant enough to take to the table for serving. We recommend hand washing to maintain the luster of your cookware. I already did this review on the first skillet that I received.. the first one arrived looking like it had been through a hurricane. The shipping box was fine, but the actual box that the skillet was in, was a mess! It was filthy dirty, smashed and torn . The skillet was scuffed, but it still did a nice job cooking. Have cooked many things with it and everything turns out great. You can keep the heat at a lower setting and it cooks evenly and doesn't burn. My family loved the pot roast that I made in it.. Mimi.
