Wow! I love these…but I had no idea they were painted or printed wood (the multicolored all over design); I honestly thought the colored design was fabric and that these were fabric covered boxes! They look like fabric in the pics online, and even in person. It wasn’t until I got them and removed them from the great and careful packaging that I touched them and was shocked that they were all wood. Even better, i thought, because they won’t get pilled or snag over time like fabric would. I also wasn’t expecting them to be so BIG! I mean, I saw the measurements, but the larger one is so much bigger then I imagined it would be…this isn’t necessarily a problem per se, but it does mean that I’ll have to find a different use for the larger one then I planned, which is fine. Really happy with these decorative storage boxes overall. They look beautiful styled together, but I actually ended up separating them throughout different areas of my home to help tie everything together design-wise. The pattern and wood tones are even prettier in person and look much more high end than I expected. I use the medium-sized box on my coffee table to store remotes, coasters, and other small items I want within reach but not sitting out all the time, and it works perfectly for that. The quality feels solid and they’re functional while still looking decorative. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a slight “basement” type smell inside the boxes when I first opened them.
