This is such a cute lamp! It was very easy to put together (less than 5 minutes). The brass is a nice metal material that is the perfect color. The rattan lamp shade feels sturdy and should hold up very well. I like that it turns on and off with a foot press, rather than up inside the lampshade. So I really like this lamp first of all. It is the perfect height for my son. Its gold finish gives it a nice classic look to it. I loved that it has a step on and off peddle no need to reach to turn it on. I was trying to make my son a small little readingdrawing nook area to do what he enjoys the most. I was just not expecting that the top was glass and I accidentally broke one of the pieces so instead of 3 glass rings it has 2 in the picture.
