These counter stools are easy to assemble, sturdy, and complement my kitchen as well as adjacent living areas perfectly. I am an 80 senior and assembled my two stools myself. Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. I really liked these barstools. Husband liked the ones he picked out best and he won, so I returned these. The swivel was smooth and the back rest supportive. I (female in my 50s) put them together on my own and it was pretty easy. They looked great and felt solid. They may be a little small for larger people, like over 300 lbs.
