I had my 16 yr old son assemble this table without any assistance. This was his first project. He got it assembled! Parts were loose. I had to explain what a self locking nut was and that he needed either a socket or wrench to tighten the screw to the nut. After a brief demonstration, he nailed it. These beautiful chairs (in Vintage Tekwood) arrived carefully packaged and fully assembled. (The large carton is on the heavy side.) They chairs are light weight and stack easily, but they are very sturdily constructed. The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. I also bought the 47" dining table (in Vintage Tekwood) to go with these chairs. The set was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but arrived on Friday. I am a very happy customer. A polyresin tabletop features a faux teak finish for a bit of contrast, and it measures 35.25" square to seat four people around it comfortably (chairs sold separately). There's also an opening in the middle for an umbrella (included). Made from polyester, it has a vented top, a handy crank lift, and a push button tilt function for just the right angle. The base helps keep this umbrella upright, but we recommend adding weights for extra stability.

Attractive and sturdy when finally assembled. Though assembly process was reasonably clear, it was quite tedious.
