Seems to be very sturdy. The hinges on the lid are great. They hold the top open so you can load things into the bin. Bought it to store cushions from a patio set will easily hold 12 cushions size of each is 24 x 24” with room for a few more items. First off let me say it took 2 of us to put it together. Was very easy. About 45 minutes. It is a nice storage bin. Not as sturdy and strong as I thought it would be. Bought this to store the pool floats and toys in because I was sick of carrying them back and forth from the garage. Now, most everything fits in it on the pool deck with room to spare for small things. I have four blown up pool floats (one of which is bulky with a unicorn head and tail), a small kiddy pool float, some pool noodles, padel boards, and the deck umbrella. And like i said i still have room to add any smaller items. Very spacious. Fairly easy to put together. I put most of it together by myself. Attaching the lid to the hinges on the box was the final step and I did need my husband to help with this. I had a hard time keeping it in place while I tried to screw on each side. It seems sturdy enough so far. I am worried about how to use it in the winter without mice nesting in it. We had a shed that the mice took over and made super disgusting. So Im not sure that Id store anything in this over the winter. There are spaces at the bottom for air flow that the mice can easily access. This deck box is absolutely massive and holds everything I needed it to- with room left over! I garden so I needed somewhere to store my extra soil, mulch, and even some extra pots. They were so cluttered in my house and patio so this was my solution. It worked great and there’s even room for more. The only thing I would maybe change would be sealing it a little better- I don’t need a full lock with a code needed or anything but sometimes a strong wind shifts the lid a bit so I’d like to be able to lock it in place. This is the perfect size to hold all of our seasonal items. I don’t have a garage so it’s ideal to have a place for beach gear once it’s come out of the attic.
