The base is nothing special you wouldn't find on any cheap chair. The upper seat is pretty nice, especially for the price. I'm a 6'1" 240lb man (athletic), and it isn't remotely "too small" as some have said, so adjust your expectations for your body type. The cushion is firm, but comfortable in my opinion.
