I ordered 2 of these ceiling fan controls, which arrived damage free, in a timely manner. It was easy to pop out the old controls and install these using my existing wiring. My only complaint is that these say ‘HUNTER’ across the front of the knob, which I didn’t notice in the photos. Since I bought these to match the other fan controls throughout my house, this was kind of a bummer.. Stacy. Seminole, FL. Thu May 10 2018

The Fanimation Close to Ceiling Kit replaces the standard hanger bracket and downrod, allowing the fan to be mounted closer to the ceiling—ideal for spaces with lower ceilings. It includes both tall and short kits and is offered in a wide range of finishes.

Bought to replace original downrod which allowed fan blades to contact ceiling joists in a wind. This mount does not allow the fan to tilt as the downrod did. Item works perfectly! Also, the Instructions were easy to follow . thanks. Anonymous. Thu Jun 15 2023

These light shades turned my old looking fans into a clean new updated look!! I’m remodeling my house and it’s easy to sink too much money in remodeling so finding these shades helped me stay within my budget while still updating the look!. Pamela. Wed Sep 30 2026

We have a ceiling light in a hallway that does not have a wall switch so the ceiling fixture requires a pull chain. This is an excellent low profile option on its own (no ceiling fan). It blends in nicely with a white ceiling. A great solution for an impractical electrical wiring choice.. Suzan. Westwood, MA. Fri Nov 24 2023

I have a ceiling fan light that's still going strong after 13 years -- except for the remote. No amount of cleaning or new batteries would resuscitate it. I found this one a year ago that doesn't say it's for my fan but was the identical shape and color. Problem solved! I didn't even need to change the pin settings, just insert the batteries and I was good to go. Just note that the "Delay Off" button in the lower left corner (where my original dimmer button was located) works my light dimmer). I ignore the text and everything works as the old one did. I love it! Pros: Good replacement fan remote.. Pamela. Alameda, CA. Wed Aug 12 2015

3/4 in. downrods can be used to extend the Modern Forms downrod ceiling fan height. When we expanded our porch into a downstairs bedroom, I was going to use the old fan that had been hanging around for many years. I am so glad I didn’t. This one is attractive, sleek and has many speeds which I control with a remote. It works well!. Landis. Princeton, NJ. Sun Jul 19 2026
