I've used silicone ice cube trays before, and as my ice maker is on the fritz, I decided to get some more so that I could have a steady supply. I selected this set because I thought having a lid would make for more efficient storage in the freezer, and help keep the cubes fresh. As others have noted, I would recommend using a baking sheet to set your cubes up for an initial freeze, as the silicone is flexible and not very thick. My prior trays likewise benefit from this treatment, however, I will note that these ones generally have thinner walls. I do think that this could be a benefit in getting the cubes out. I love this ice maker and I use it every single day! It makes small kind of hollow ice cubes so quickly, about 5() minutes after turning it on( sometimes a bit longer) such a simple on button that turns white when it’s on, or red when it’s the basket is full of ice or the water reservoir runs low.
