This lid overall is okay, but there are some issues. First, the product description on the Wayfair website says the lid is made of aluminum, but it actually is stainless steel, if that is of any concern to you. Also, this lid may not work with smaller fry pans in the 8" to 9" or smaller range depending on the shape of the pan handles. With the small fry pans I have, the edge of the lid will bump into the pan handle where it joins the pan, so you will need to leave the lid overhanging on the opposite side where the underside of the bell shape of the lid also overhangs the edge of the pan, causing a completely open space without sealing, so if you're hoping to steam something, all of the steam will just escape.. This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan.
