This is a great swing. It was fairly easy to put together, although it's helpful to have 2 people for some of it. There is a small dent in the top bar, but not bad enough to send back. These cracks are called checks. Checking occurs when the logs dry and the cells shrink causing the wood to split. This does not weaken the wood. Checking helps give cedar furniture its rustic beauty.

My new favorite thing to do outside..swing on my new swing! Well made, and not hard for my husband to put together. It did need some sanding, and we will put a finish on it to make sure that it stays nice. There are splits in some of the weight bearing pieces, but my husband assures me that is common with cedar, and won't effect the longevity of the swing. It's also very comfortable, with deep seats..
