I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. The lighting simulated the patterns of the sky, including sunrise and cloudy days. The remote is easy to use . Installation requires watching a you tube video, but that made it much easier . Our house has all original 1990s contractor special light fixtures. They are a pain to maintain even with LED bulbs. I had never seen a ceiling light like this before and was pretty intrigued. The light itself is pretty large. We are planning to install it in a bedroom, however it would probably work well in a larger space like a living room. The light comes with a remote which can control the color and brightness. There is also an app that can be used to control the various functions of the smart light. There is a feature that can be set up for gradual brightness for waking up in the morning which is pretty neat. When off, the light itself is a glossy white with an outer white frame.. Eric. Love them! When I bought my condo they had track Lighting in the office and it was so outdated, ugly, and a total eyesore! I had my Handyman remove them fix the ceiling and then put these in. I wanted something super flush to the ceiling so they didnt draw a lot of attention or make the ceiling feel low as it is a little bit lower in this room. When they were built this was originally supposed to be a patio and they enclosed it for additional living space. I made it an office which isnt completed yet! I love how they hug the ceiling and they come with two remote controls which is super handy when walking into the room when dark. I keep one in my living room and one on the desk. It also has a day and night on it for bright or soft. When I ordered them I felt they were a little expensive, but when I got them, I feel they are well worth the expense! I purchased the black picture light to be used with a 44" x 34" framed print. The light looks slim and sleek, so appearance gets a 10/10 score. I wish the bulb was stronger and gave off more light.
