I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. Such a genius idea to have sconces with a rechargeable lightbulb! I had never heard of this until I saw it on Wayfair, and of course now I see them quite a bit. This hallway going down to my basement is very dark. The electrician said he could not put a light up in the ceiling after he climbed up in the attic to look. So when I saw these, I was so excited to be able to do such a simple thing to add light to this dreary, dark hallway! I had a bit of a struggle getting them mounted right because they are so close to my ceiling, but other than that, it is very simple to get them mounted and have instant light wherever you might need it! The gold shade on these actually move, so you can rotate it to your desired spot. Strangely, it is a bit tricky to get the remote to work for both lights. It does come with two. So I just was played around with it and pushed buttons until I was able to sync them. I wish I could remember what I did but that part was a little frustrating. I actually mounted the remote to the side of the wall where I do have a switch that turns on a light at the very bottom of the stairs. Excellent. Drill two holes, insert wall anchor and attach the small plate and screws that came with it. The light slides onto the provided plate. I love that it’s ez to assemble, there are 3 light tones: yellow (warm light), yellow/white (in between warm and cool tone), and blue/white light. Also, you can adjust the intensity from a low level for mood lighting, to a bright level. You can also adjust the angle of the arms that have the shining light. These are sleek looking except the round base is a bit big. See photos that are taken in the day but I have honeycomb blinds and translucent white drapes, so the room is dim but not dark. Exactly what I needed. There were 2 light bars in the package. They work exactly as described. Simple to install: 2 double sided tapes included. Stick the tape(s) to the back of the bar, then press against the surface where you want to position the light. There is a switch with 3 positions on the end of the light: off, on and sensor. I put mine in a linen closet and it provides me with the light I need when loading and unloading items.
