We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. When lit, the warm brown weave creates a neat little pattern across the ceiling. As some have mentioned, you will need to be directly under the fan to feel it but it does move air surprisingly well. This is perfect for us because I sometimes hang wet clothes on a drying rack or do some ironing in the center of the room. This fan came nicely packaged. I’d say the color of the rattan is a bit lighter than the product photos. Also, I noticed that the white paint on the inner pieces is sort of streakynot fully covering. There was also some white paint on that middle clear plastic piece that flaked off when I touched it. I still plan to install, but I docked it a star for some of these details. This fan is beautiful. The light that comes attached is great too. I generally don’t like lights on ceiling fans. This one however, lights up the room perfectly day or night. It also is dimmable so you have several amounts of lighting you can use from dim to bright. The fan gives off enough air with no problem. It also matches all my other lighting in house with the black hardware and the wicker rattan type material. It’s perfect in our beach home in our guest bedroom in the center between two twin beds.
