This transitional area rug that’s perfect for living rooms, dining spaces, or bedrooms offers a sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic, perfect for anchoring a variety of interior design styles, from cozy farmhouse and cottagecore to refined traditional and casual contemporary. The pattern is a modern interpretation of a classic plaid or tartan check, but with a subtly distressed or antique wash finish that softens the geometry. The overall neutral base is a creamy ivory or pale beige, providing an airy foundation, while the woven crosshatch lines introduce a lovely secondary palette of soft colors, including muted blue, olive green, and soft terracotta. The resulting look is an understated, textural plaid that adds visual interest without overwhelming the space, making it an ideal choice for living rooms, bedrooms, or dining areas.

Rug worked perfectly and our schools front office. It looks exactly how it’s pictured. It’s on the thinner side and the edges curl up so you will definitely need some rug tape.. Natalie. Sat Sep 26 2026

I thought this rug was very pretty. It has more black threading in the design which is a great contrast but for my needs, its was too blue. But would be fab with a tan or warm colored sofa or chairs. Thats would pull out the cream tones in the fabric. It clashed with my blue chairs.. Megan. Alexandria, VA. Sun Sep 13 2026

I was very excited to finally order this rug for my new family room after admiring it for months. It really is a beautiful piece and I love the unique combination of neutral colors. It goes well with my modern farmhouse style. With that said, there weren’t many reviews when I purchased it so I knew I was taking a gamble. One of the few existing reviews did mention that it was easily pulled by pet paws and I do see that being an issue down the road. It actually came with several loose spots (examples included in photos). It doesn’t take away from the look, but does make me nervous regarding how it will hold up in our family room. I was able to manipulate some of the loose threads to make them less noticeable. It survived the first day of cat and toddler usage, but only time will tell if it was truly worth the money.. Dana.
