This was solid, well the replacement. When I got the chaise it had come damaged, customer service was second to none and sent me a replacement. After 5 years the chaise is still going strong. There is a big difference between front legs and rear legs and there are NO markings on legs or instructions to advise of the difference. I am very mechanically knowledgeable and it took me a few times assembling and disassembling legs before I figured out the difference. One set of legs are squared off on top of legs and the other pair of legs have a slight angled taper. Recommend SAFAVIEH make an addendum with better assembly instructions.. Hal Kandes Jr.. Real wood, smells great like that cedar bark smell. Runs a tiny bit small, as I am short and my legs go basically to the end and my head is right at the top. I also am not sure it will hold up to huge people jumping on it or anything, but that's wood planks for ya. Assembly was quite easy, hardly needed the instructions. Torqued the bolts but am expecting to possibly lightly sand and/or stain it later to protect the wood, and possibly add wd-40 to some of the moving parts and lock tite to the bolts.. Alexander. The patio chaise was a pain to assemble (lots of pieces and not the best instructions). The slats that work as the side table and bed are not screwed on, they’re 3 big pieces that just sit in place. So be prepared to have 3 pieces come flying at you if you tilt it on its side to move the chaise. The slats on the bed part doesn’t align properly with the brackets that hold distribute the weight (not even close). The center of the bed part is unsupported (I wouldn’t plop on this thing) Also - one of the pieces came loosedamaged. I’m going to try and MacGyver this and cut 4in off the legs to have it sit lower. I bought this as a platform for my bean bag chair. I wouldn’t be thrilled with the quality if I was using it as anything other than a platform.. Hnh. Beverly Hills, CA. Sun Jul 26 2026
