Beautiful chairs that were very easy to assemble. The only challenge we had was with the pre-drilled holes for the cup holder bracket. They were a little too close to the edge and cracked the wood when the screws were inserted. Easy fix: just drilled my own holes more towards the center of the base. My husband and preschooler put these together quickly. My husband had a lot of positive things to say about the quality (until he found out how much I paid per chair, and then he said, “What! You paid what! No wonder they’re so good!”). We use the chairs without cushions and they don’t feel too hard. I am 5’2, and my knees ache after a while of sitting in them even though I’m not a person who usually gets joint aches. I could probably benefit from a foot stool. But my husband is 5’9 and finds them comfortable. Despite the cost, we plan to invest in three more of these chairs for our children to use. I expect them to last a long time. We use these at our fire pit. The arm rests are nice and wide for putting a drink, phone, or small plate. Our kids are ages 1-7 and the chairs are wide enough for two kids to sit. Update: We have had the chairs for more than four years now, and they look as good as the day we bought them, despite sitting fully exposed to the elements. Its a good chair and serves outdoor purpose. Comfortable too. Craftsmanship and attention to detail is a little lacking which has me feeling the price is a bit inflated. Chair is cedar and looks like the one pictured (good). Not sure what “handcrafted” means but it’s a stretch. Chair was made with a power router (by backsliding Amish?) and only the seating surface is sanded. Very rough surfaces. Came with zinc bolts not appropriate for outdoors. Came mostly assembled and solid. Pre-assembled parts do have coated screws. Reasonably happy but seller should remove Amish and handcrafted from title and send galvanized bolts.. Daniel.
