Fairly straightforward assembly. Delivery was very quick and easy. Only problem is that the mattress is very top heavy, and much more of it goes up and down than on the seat. I was cautious when I didn’t see many reviews, but the chair and sofa are much nicer than expected. Soft leather, well built and assembles easy. I would rate the firmness as not too firm, not too soft. A good middle of the road supportive and comfortable. Keep in mind the recliner is not a rocker or swivel. So easy to put together even by yourself--only need to attach the arm rests and legs. No tools needed as.the screws and hex key are provided. The hardest part was taking it out of the box (or in my case, ripping the box away from the couch). As a couch, it feels great if you like stiffer support, like I do. If youre looking for a cloud to sit on, this aint it. Similarly the bed portion is kinda of stiff for sleeping but its easily solved by a mattress topper. Its super easy to fold and unfold, but mine didnt come with directions, so here are some tips. To flatten it to a bed, unfold the seat to flat first. Then unzip the pockets in the back of the backrest and unbend the legs for the backrest. After, gently pull the backrest forward first (like the backseat of your car when youre trying to get to your trunk from the inside of your car) and then push it all the way back to the floor. If you want to recline, you have to pull it up to the desired angle from the flat position. Note, the back has a huge exposed zipper (see pic) so if you dont put it against a wall, youll probably want a throw blanket or something else to hide it. Fair warning, it seems smaller than a twin in terms of width so larger guests and guests who roll in their sleep may feel uncomfortable with the width. TL;DR- good sturdy couch but could be better. The leather is soft but a little scratchy (aka scratches easily when compared to a proper real leather couch). The recliner works well but beware that it’s not long enough for my 5’6” wife (her feet hang out), if you’re expecting full coverage. My advice would be to spend a little more and get powered headrests, something with USB chargers as well as something a little larger as this is definitely on the smaller side. The in between pieces that are arm rests and have cup holders are definitely much cheaper in quality when compared to the seats. One of the non-recliner pieces is hanging an inch off the ground on one side because the latch that connects to other seats came a little bent and it’s too late now for me to report to Wayfair (more than 2 weeks after delivery).
