Take this one for example: Crafted from solid and engineered wood, it strikes a clean-lined silhouette and boasts a neutral coloring for a look that complements nearly any color palette. Two drawers and a cabinet help keep kitchenware essentials corralled, while a butcher block tabletop provides a place to prepare meals for the week.

This is perfect in terms of looks from a distance, though not the highest quality. I’ve had to touch up the color on a few places and it’s particle board, so not great. If you can afford a more expensive one, I would recommend spending more. But the higher quality ones didn’t deliver to my address, so I used the DIY method and assembled this with not too much difficulty. Best parts are the cupboards and drawers that open from both sides, and the real wood surface. I received the kitchen island with extendable dining table which had a few challenges during assembly. One of the board was not milled with the cut outs to fit the other piece together. I contacted customer service and they contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent the correct piece which took about a week to receive. During assembly, there were some areas where the pre-made holes for the screws were not lined up and required some drilling to correct. Once the island was assembled, it looked great and was sturdy. Behind the two doors is an adjustable shelf with ample storage and the drawer is wide and roomy. There is a towel rack at the end of the island and the extendable table pulls out easily and provides enough room for two adults to sit. I love the fluted wood design and the gold fixtures stands out nicely from the white. Love this kitchen island. Solid construction, love the color matches with my accent wall where others just had white or black options for color. The cabinet doors and drawers fit well together.
