My original complaint: I ordered two sets of two chairs for a total of 4 chairs. Just the 4 upper chairs without legs or hardware were in the two boxes. they are useless as delivered! Upon complaining to Wayfair, the rep sent my complaint back to the factory. It turns out that the legs and hardware and an Allen key for each chair were concealed in a zippered compartment under the seat. This took a long time; Wayfair should've known the solution to the problem when I first contacted customer service. Ordered two of these individual chairs to complete the set of 4 I got with my extendable table. We didn’t put together the first four (assembly was complimentary with that order) so this was my first time putting them together. Pretty easy and didn’t have much trouble. Love these chairs. They seat is very wide and comfortable. The cross cross back is just the look I was going for. Note that with the matching table, you can’t fit all six chairs under the table. Since our toddler usually sits at the end and likes to get in and out of his seat often during a meal, his chair is usually always pushed out anyway, so this doesn’t bother me, but worth noting. The seat cushions are ones I found at a yard sale so not the right size but good enough for now. The chairs are sturdy and this set overall is the perfect blend of casualfarmhouse without being *too* rustic. OK, the chairs came today and I was a little worried based on the 2 previous reviews, but I did manage to get them all together. That said, the code they used to label the pieces made little sense, so it became more of a trial and error exercise. The good news is you only need one tool, but if you try to use that little Allen wrench that’s included, you will probably be quite frustrated. I got a screw gun and Allen bit that made the the job much easier. However, be careful not to over tighten. Also, I found a rubber mallet to be useful, as not all pieces went together easily. Lastly, be sure to have a Workmate or work bench which also makes the job a lot easier. Maybe just pay Wayfair the 100 bucks or whatever it is and have them come preassembled. In any case, they didn’t go together easily but they did go together and only a few expletives were needed. They look cool and we are happy with them. Very very nice chairs! Box did show up and it was a little busted and open. Everything was fine except one of the chairs got a tear on the top. Not a huge deal, I reached out to Wayfair and the manufacture sent me a set of two chairs at no cost! Putting them together was a breeze.
