I absolutely adore these barstools! I purchased them when we moved into our home six years ago, and I’m happy to say that we still use and love them today. One thing that makes me especially impressed with these chairs is that they’ve survived six years with rambunctious kids. My children are not particularly gentle with furniture, and these chairs have been tipped over more than a few times. As a result, the backrests have loosened and slightly broken in a couple of spots over the years. Thankfully, we’ve been able to tighten everything back up with an Allen wrench, and they’ve remained perfectly usable. The black legs have also accumulated a few chips and scuffs from daily family life, kids running into them, toys, and general wear and tear. However, after six years of heavy use, I still think they look fantastic. One thing to note is that the seats are wood and have decorative grooves where crumbs and food can collect. It’s not a major issue, but you may occasionally need to wipe them out or vacuum the grooves to keep them clean. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these barstools. They are stylish, durable, and have held up remarkably well in a busy household. I receive compliments on them all the time, and people are always surprised when I tell them they’re from Wayfair. These are very sturdy stools and the wood is beautiful. BUT. I bought 2 sets. One set was fairly well matched in color, the other was not. One was very yellow on the top and the other fairly dark. In person, they didn't go at all. I solved this because I didn't want the hassle of returning them by painting the tops. Great stools but be aware of the color variation. Seem very heavy duty. I have a fiend that is pushing 300lb and visits regularly, none of my chairs held up to him. These will. Very basic finish workmanship is on par with the price. If you wanted to you could sand re stain and shellac them making them look much more expensive. I am happy with my purchase. They were easy to assemble for me even the the instructions are not very detailed, you must look carefully at the drawings to make sure your orienting things the correct way. First chair took about an hour with unpacking and organizing. Second chair took about 20 min. Don't use impact tools on any bolts that go into the pressed in nuts.
