This candle has a good size to it and unless you are right on top of it looks as though it is a real candle. Goodness knows how expensive it would be to purchase a true candle, but I have used it for a long time. I have not even needed to change the batteries. It throws off light exactly like a real candle. I did not know that these Smart touch candles existed. As you can see in my pictures they look like real candles. To turn them off you just tap on the flame. The candle itself is very realistic looking, since its made of real wax. The "flame" is realistic looking enough from a distance, which is fine for my use. Each candle takes 2 AAA batteries.
