This shelf insert is very nice. It’s heavy which makes it feel like quality. The white finish is flawless. The shelves are already built in so no assembly required, which is fantastic. There are zero seams on the faceframe of the unit, which really makes it feel like a high quality built-in product. There is a slight hairline crack on the inside backing, but it’s not super noticeable and I’m thinking once it’s installed and filled, it won’t even be noticeable. We finished our basement and put this niche in the wall opposite the bottom of the stairs into the basement. The niche holds holiday decor, like this photo taken at xmas, and a Chiparus dancer bronze sculpture in between holidays. It fit in the wall perfectly and adds a great accent to our downstairs rooms. Perfect for any bathroom. Recesses in the wall between the studs, and simply screws to the studs on each side of the opening. Only the doors are outside the wall. Fully adjustable glass shelves inside. Our unique, patented design of shelf supports keeps each shelf in place. Concealed hinges with soft close built-in ensure the door will never slam shut, but softly close on its own instead. The box is solid pine and the Shaker-style door is solid maple. We’ve painted the inside of the box white, so you don’t have to! The door is primed and ready for you to paint it. The box is 3.5” deep inside and gives you plenty of usable depth, but fits in standard 2x4 walls. This model has two doors that open to reveal two separate cabinet sections. The Cabinet box is 12.5" wide inside. Doors are reversible to open either Left or Right. Completely assembled! All you need to do is put one screw in each hinge to mount the door. Then insert it into the wall and screw it to the studs with included screws. If you are replacing a current cabinet, measure your wall opening! White plastic trim surround covers the rough edges of your opening up to 1/2" all around. Doors cover the trim surround when closed so the only thing you see outside the wall is the doors.
