This planter was purchased to be the new home for a spider plant which has lived with us for the past 38 years. The plant is huge and needed just exactly the larger space and volume that this gem offers. The planter is very strong, made if light weight and appearance materials and hangs quite majestically without being overbearing. I cant believe I actually gave in and purchased fake flowers for my front yard hanging baskets. But with the weather in Florida this summer, it has been a death sentence for so much of my landscaping. These faux plants ( I purchased several in purple and mixed colors ) are fantastic!! The item is as pictured and is lovely. Treat it like a wreath the first couple of days up, spritzing with water to let the rope and basket recover from shipping. It will settle into its best configuration that way. If you don’t have food or plants in it yet, mix a little Pine Sol in the spritz water to remove rope and woven basket smells in your kitchen.
