The three stars are because it will only put the feet up and the head down at the same time. There is no adjustment for just putting your feet up or the back down. I had to add an ottoman for my feet if I want to have them up but be upright on the back. It makes it very inconvenient. It did not say this anywhere in the description or I would have gotten a different chair. If you don't mind the reclining and feet up in the same motion, then it is a nice chair.. Deborah. This couch was fairly easy to assemble. It looks good and is the perfect size for the room we have it in. It's also light and easy to move. The seat is firm, so if you want something softer, might need to add cushioning or choose something else. It's still very comfortable and easy to lay back in. I did A LOT of research before buying this chair, and I am happy with my purchase. It came in 1 decently packed box. The assembly took 5 minutes, and we are very happy with it so far! It is not a huge, oversized chair - but that's great because we needed something that would pair nicely with our existing living room furniture without swallowing up the room. My only concern is keeping it clean with 2 teenage boys...but we shall see. It looks like it can be spot cleaned pretty well, but time will tell. I also would've loved it be just a wee bit darker beige, but it is a nice creamy color (in pics the view from behind is more accurate color in person). It is very comfortable, and I love that it is "push back" without extra latches, pulls, pockets, or needs to be plugged in to recline. This is a great chair. The rocking and swivel are so smooth and no noises or squeaks at all. The foot rest is a little stiff to push down with my legs but that should get better with time. It really reclines far and is really comfortable to lay in. The phone holder widens to allow for my phone and case. The arm to hold the phone is nice and stiff and hold the phone pretty well.. A.
