H.M.S. Sovereign of the Seas, launched in 1637, was the most powerfully armed ship in the world in its day. It was originally going to have 90 guns, but King Charles I personally insisted that a ''great ship'' be built for the English Royal Navy, so it went to sea with 102 bronze guns. The vessel was the most extravagantly decorated warship in the Royal Navy, completely adorned from stern to bow with gilded carvings. The ship was later renamed Sovereign and then Royal Sovereign. It was destroyed by fire in 1697 in Chatham.

The San Felipe was one of the most beautiful Spanish ships in the 1600s. Launched in 1690, it had 96 cannons and was the lead ship of the feared Spanish Armada. It was powerful enough to go up against the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. In 1705, the San Felipe and 11 other Spanish ships waged a furious and heroic battle against 35 British ships. After 24 hours of fighting, the San Felipe was captured but was so badly damaged that it could not be salvaged as a prize. It sank with several tons of gold.

For 1953, Castoldi decided to focus on setting top speed records. He commissioned an 800kg-class three-point hydroplane hull to be built by Cantieri Timossi, a hydroplane builder on Lake Como, near Milan… The hull was dubbed Arno XI. For the engine, he turned to the new up and comers of the auto racing scene – Scuderia Ferrari… On the morning of October 15, 1953, Achille Castoldi succeeded in smashing the 800kg class speed record with an average ''flying kilometer'' two-way speed of 150.49 mph. He followed up the performance later that day by setting another record in the ''24 nautical miles'' event with an average speed of 102.34 mph… Arno XI was restored in the early 1990s and was put up for auction at the Coy's Festival at Silverstone in 1997 where it did not sell. It was photographed skimming across the water as recently as September 2004, along with many other vintage racing boats...

Titanic named by J.Bruce Ismay, was built in march 1909. In may 1911, she was launched, which was a heavily publicized spectacle. Titanic was designed to be a marvel of modern safety technology and her accommodations were the most modern and luxurious on any ocean. This collection is a science fiction genre that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. This collection is usually focused around steam-powered machinery. The ship does not have much color. The main colors used a faint orange and yellow and brown. The minimal color is a part of this theme. This model has little details sprinkled within it as well like the crow’s nest on its mast. The little features help make this model that much more unique.

The M42 Command Truck is a member of the M-37 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 Truck Family (G-741). Its full nomenclature is Truck, Command, 3/4 ton 4x4, M-42. The Dodge M37 3/4-ton 4x4 truck (G741) was Dodge's follow-up to its successful WC Series from WWII. Introduced in 1951 it was used extensively by the United States armed forces during the Korean War. The Vintage Dodge M42 Command Model Truck is only slightly different from the base model M37 cargo truck. They are not manufactured as a separate model; rather the M42 Command Truck is created by modifying an M37 with the installation of a conversion kit. The M42 conversion kit consists of replacing the standard M37 canvas with these M42 components: Bodyside curtains with windows; split rear end curtains; map light; folding table; the regular canvas tarp was rolled up on the sides, secured with leather straps, to expose the side curtains; the window panels were made of a non-reflecting plastic material; sources differ on the provision of an entry step ladder for the M42 Command Truck. When the M42 kit is installed, an M42 data plate is added to the M37 dash. Trucks configured as the M42 Command Truck were also converted back to the M37 configuration. According to TM 9-8031-2 Change 3 dated 29 January 1968, all references to the M42 Command Truck in the manual were deleted.

This 1942 model of the motorcycle was produced to US Army specifications in the years during and around World War II. This vintage 1942 model was handcrafted of brass. It is painted yellow and has a scale of 1:12. It features intricate details such as spoke wheels, seat, lightweight frame, pedals, storage compartment, and a windscreen. Built primarily with dense southern live oak, its hull was 21 inches thick in an era when 18 inches was common. Paul revere forged the copper spikes and bolts that held the planks in place. The 204-foot-long ship was first put to sea in 1798 and its most famous era of naval warfare was the War of 1812 against Britain when it captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five warships, including the H.M.S. Guerriere. It was during the ferocious battle with the Guerriere that British seamen, astonished at how their cannonballs were bouncing off the constitution's hull, cried out, ''Sir, her sides are made from iron'' hence, the nickname, ''old ironsides.'' the constitution today is a national landmark and is docked in boston.

Impressive model! I haven't even removed it from the packaging as yet. I am a woodworker and planning to construct a case for it as I did for the Independence, a model I finished this year. Only question I have is about the masts when first received. Upon opening the top of the shipping box I remember all the sails were 90 degrees to the hull. Now after 2 days, all the sails are 30 degrees to the left. I included a shot looking down at the model. I was interested to know if others have noticed this or am I mistaken? Also found this after unpacking (see picture) of rear mast warped at top. The other noticeable item was the size of the rigging blocks, obviously too large but can be overlooked as they seem to accentuate the model when viewed as a whole.. Greg. Gilroy, CA.
