Our natural variation accent shelves are not stained and the color can vary from piece to piece. With thick and sturdy handmade raw metal brackets, these versatile shelves make a great addition to any room. Please note that the brackets must be mounted into wall studs. Great shelf! Easy to install right into studs. One of the L-brackets was clearly less that 90° angle but it didn't actually make a difference. I hung it and everything is level. Color was accurate too. One thing to note: is is not a solid piece of wood. The one I received appears to be at least two pieces glued together. But, it was a pretty seamless joining so I am happy..
