This wicker floor lamp does a good job of providing ample light in a focused area and looks nice. However, the lampshade is a little too large for my liking. Unless I’m missing something, the shades ability to adjust it minimal. I like the clever way that the cord comes out above the bottom stand, rather than under it. It can be turned on by stepping on a push button. I do question its stability, as it seems a bit top heavy, and could use thicker posts. So long as the lamp is tucked in a corner, it shouldn’t be a problem. I gave it four stars because it functions well for its purpose, but may not be as stable as you hoped.. Greta. Garden Ridge, TX. Delivery was fast. Lamp is perfect and just as described. Love it!! The lamp was well packaged with base in one long box and lamp shade in another box. All you need to do is place the shade on the base, plug and light. I have two minor "cons" and one is that the wires in the shade show thru. Maybe that's supposed to be part of the 'look' but I think it looks cheap. The shade and the base are both well made and quite sturdy so overall I love the lamp. The other 'con' is the instructions for the light bulb. One description states the light should be incandescent and in another place it says type A 20 watt. There is no such thing as a type A 20 watt incandescent bulb and if there was, it would be barely better than a night light. I almost did not buy the lamp for fear it would require some odd ball bulb that would be too dim, but took a chance anyway. I have the light plugged into an outlet controlled by a dimmer wall switch. I put in a dimmable GE brand led bulb, 8.5 watt, 800 lumens which is equal to a 60 watt incandescent bulb. I could probably go higher with 100 equivalent, but I think it would not be good to go up to a 20 watt LED bulb without checking with an electrician (not sure they even make a 20 watt LED). They would likely sell more of these if they would correct the bulb requirements. This review is just for aesthetics as I can’t speak to longevity. I think the lamp looks exactly as pictured. The wood-look metal and shade can fit a few different types of styles. My home has more of a bohemian mid century decor, and this fits fine. My only complaints are that the shade has a strange smell and because it’s so dark, this lamp doesn’t omit a ton of light. You get a lot of light from the top of the shade, but you don’t get a ton of light from the bottom. I like how when it’s lit, you don’t get light peaking through the weaving of the rattan. I use a smart bulb and adjust the lighting and still find it to be a little dark, so if you are trying to get more light in your room, you may want to find a lamp with a white shade or a cone shape to cast the light downward.. The lamp is beautiful and works well in my office. The lamp shade is easy to assemble and filters the light while also providing sufficient illumination. One section of the body of the lamp didn’t align precisely however, with the natural appearance of the stand, it’s not very obvious. I did need some help attaching the base so that the lamp didn’t tilt. My dad had to hold the base for me so I could align the threads of the base and the body correctly. I absolutely love this lamp. I’m writing this review after having it a couple years and it has never had any issues. It’s the perfect size where it doesn’t get in the way but still has presence. The three fixtures float and are flexible, so they fall back into place if they get bumped. It uses a simple foot pedal to power onoff.
