This was not hard to put together. It seems a bit flimsy but we tightened it enough so I can confidently say it will hold coats. The drawers pull up which I like for shoes. This is almost what I expected. I thought there were 2 drawers, but they are little doors, not an issue if the magnets aligned properly. One did, the other didn’t, based on the credited holes, so my top door flops open with any movement of the piece (like when something is hung up or removed from it. This clothing rack is good but it is very light overall. I did not attach it to the wall. I would recommend that you anchor it with heavier items on the bottom racks. You can build it on your own but recommend 2 people to put it together. You also need a small screwdriver for the very last assembly piece for the metal cross-bar poles (attached in the back after you stack the bottom and top shelfs together). Screwdriver not included with packaging but does come with everything else, including the L-shaped hex key. The instructions that came with it were for a very similar product, but one that had drawers which really confused my husband during the build, but aside from that the instructions worked fine. This is a charming in lightweight wood shelving unit that has detailed and rounded shelves. It is perfect for displaying some of my plants. I added grow lights to shine on my plants.
