This is nice, but.... It took a lot longer to put together than I wanted. The wood is not finished, so you need to do that yourself. That also adds to the cost. I bought a "green" varnish for the inside and regular for the outside. Be careful not to split the wood screwing together the boxes if you are off center. This is a great raised garden bed. We did get chicken wire and put it under the entire structure, so moles and gophers couldn't come up through it, and believe me they have tried. The flaps are great when harvesting the back side of the plants. I didn't give this a 5 star, because the gate doesn't stay shut without propping something on it or placing a rock pile under it. Perfect for my mini Urban garden. Easy to put together, I had it together by myself in an hour or just over. Being new to growing any type of food, and with limited space, this raised bed looks lovely and has enough space for several plants. I am very happy with this product, a little adjustment to make sure it was straight and tight before filling it up ensured it's not bulging out wards after filling. It been filled now for over a month with no bulging out the sides. It fit in a space perfectly that was unusable for anything else really, so growing something here was perfect. I do love the look of it as it is in my front garden, we live in a neighborhood so I needed something that looked nice. It is a bit hidden from street view. I added a few arch trellis to it, great for providing shade and netting, and if I get tired of growing veggies I can always grow flowering vines. I highly recommend this raised bed. The base of the planter is poorly made. The tiny nails that are fixed to the platform are not enough to keep the bottom base from collapsing and warping. Once soil and a drip line was introduced, the next day it fell apart. Do not recommend unless you want to reinforce with quality wood. The directions say 2 people to assemble and 2 hours…they aren’t kidding about how long it takes but I was able to put this together by myself. The greenhouse looks great! After a few wrong turns, I got it set up. There were a few instances in the instructions where additional steps or diagrams couldve helped, but overall, it is an easy build for one person in about an hour. I dont feel it will be sturdy to move very often-- even with the wheels and handle on one side. Even assembled, without any soil, it isnt as sturdy as I wouldve hoped, but it will do the job.. Sara.
