As others have said, the colors in the photos are very misrepresentative - they are much more dull and grey. That said, the rug feels great underfoot and everyone in my house has spent time standing on it. There's no way a door would be able to pass over it and I feel like it would make a table or other furniture feel off balance, so would recommend more for a runner or area rug that sits in the middle of a room.. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! This rug is even better in person. You can’t really tell from the photos but the pile on the stripes are alternating so there’s a beautiful texture to the rug. Also the colors really pop in person without being way too loud. I ordered in the 4x6 size because I liked how many rows there were in this particular pattern.
