I bought one last year to water plants in my greenhouse and garden, and save on the water bill. So happy with it, I got another one for a friend. EDIT 1 year later, it leaks now. Probably should have drained it before freezing weather - water expands as it turns to ice. Also want to add that it's no good without the base, and had a heck of a time arguing with Wayfair "customer service" because they sent me two bases and no barrel. The rain barrel looks as nice as the pictures. The mesh to keep the bugs out does not fits snuggly snuggly and I will need to add aluminum screen. There are two round cut outs near the top at the back of the rain barrel and I assume that’s for venting air as the barrel fills as well as when water is dispensed. Or I suppose it could be for overflow There was no diagram of the rain barrel explaining all the nuances. This was even better looking than I thought it would be. It looks beautiful. However, customers should know that there is no opening for a diverter hose from a downspout. And there are no instructions for setting up other than the spigots. It seems like it is designed to just sit anywhere and gather rain, which would take forever. It’s a perfect fit, no leaks, and excellent pressure. I’m still giving it 5 stars because I got my barrel when it was marked down.
