This Seagrass bench is an attractive addition to any room. It is of high quality and very sturdy. Only problem I had was that it is NOT the color in the picture. I bought it to go with some brown rattan lamps I have in a bedroom and it is not brown but a very light tan, almost like bleached. This bench was a very pleasant surprise. I wanted the William Yeoward, Jonathan Charles bench but at $1,900 I decided I would 'settle' for the Emmalee bench instead. I was SHOCKED to see its gorgeous quality and that it is identical to the more expensive one. The color I got says "natural" but as you can see in my photos it is not that; instead it is a beautiful brownish gray, much dressier than a natural finish. The size is identical to the more expensive one, and the construction is substantial, sturdy and very high quality. The cane seating is thick and sturdy. The bench was elegant, sturdy and light/easy to move. However there was a rustic/wooden smell to it, something that can be a feature in a large country house but not something we were necessarily looking for.
