Am hoping with time seat cushion will mellow a bit. 3. My husband and I are both under 6’ I can see if you are taller than that the chair especially in reclined mode will not fit you well. 4. The chair does fully recline to an almost horizontal mode you just need to pull the chair away from the wall if you have it close to allow space. It is not a huge, oversized chair - but that's great because we needed something that would pair nicely with our existing living room furniture without swallowing up the room. My only concern is keeping it clean with 2 teenage boys...but we shall see. It looks like it can be spot cleaned pretty well, but time will tell. I also would've loved it be just a wee bit darker beige, but it is a nice creamy color (in pics the view from behind is more accurate color in person). It is very comfortable, and I love that it is "push back" without extra latches, pulls, pockets, or needs to be plugged in to recline. The chair itself is exactly what I wanted. Kicking back to recline is easy , doesn't take much and sitting back up is simple. Now I'm barely 5 ft, weight 138lbs. I really do not recommend this chair for tall people or heavy set people. When I lay back my head sits at the top of the chair and my feet hang off the chair. So I can't imagine this chair being comfortable for tall people or bigger people. It is perfect for a small person like myself. But hey I guess if anyone wants to take a chance by all means. My head is about an inch higher then the height of the seat. Chair is stiff but will break in. The fabric is will seems yo feel on the warm side. Lastly I am concerned that with some use the print looks like it may wear off. I can't be certain about that. Hope this helps anyone who may be comptemplating purchasing these chairs. So simple to put together but getting the back legs to line up took a little effort. Firm but comfortable. Nice fabric texture and color- soft but seems like it will be durable. Received the new chair this morning. Husband was able to bring the box in through the front door (36") without a problem. No plastic wrap but the two pieces were packed nicely and inside a cheese cloth like bag. Legs screwed on easy and the back snapped into place with no issues. Description says seat cushion is removable, I'm disappointed to find that it is not. Back rest isn't high enough to rest your head and neck on when sitting or reclining. I reviewed the dimensions and reviews many times and did not think that was going to be the case. The push back is smooth and easy as is bringing it back to upright position. Fabric is more polyester feeling than I would prefer or thought it would be based on review photos. Several reviews said it was more gray than beige. I don't find that true. It's a darker beige and the design is light beige. I placed a light gray pillow in the chair for comparisons and contrast. It sits high and very firm, exactly as I wanted. The arm rests are comfortable for me. The purpose of the new chair was to replace the old worn sloughing one and give my living room a new look. I think the chair is nice, but there were a few things unexpected about it. Firstly, the fabric shows a light grey in the picture, but you can see in my last picture below it is a blue-grey color. In the light it really shows a blue hue. It still comes across as a neutral, but it is good to know. Secondly, it is not really a tufted back, but more like four buttons lightly sewn in. There is no pleating between the buttons. That looked a little strange to me, but no one else noticed or said anything. Lastly, the size of the chair is medium to small. This is not oversized furniture by any means. It fits an average sized female just right. A big man would find it tight. I know my husband looked at me and thought it was small. It does indicate it holds up to 300lbs, so just be aware of a more petite size. Assembling it was a snap. My second picture below shows the hardware on the back part and the wing. They just slide into each other, and done (both sides). The back also fits into the seat the same way. The wooden legs screw into the bottom nicely and the chair is finished. There were directions if you could not figure it out, but no tools were needed. Very simple. Even though I had concerns about the chair, when I fully assembled it I thought it was nice looking. I wasn’t looking for a blueish cast, but once upstairs, it was fine with my carpet and a throw pillow. I should mention, it is quite comfortable, and very firm when sitting on it.
