Easy to put together. Very sturdy. There are screws heads in the bed frame in 3 places down the middle of the frame and the center piece of the foundation sits on the screw heads. So it doesn’t fit flat on the frame. Either the makers of the bed or the foundation need to accommodate this space for the screw heads. I bought this because my mattress needed to be a little higher to be even with my nightstands. I live alone, and it looked like I might be able to deal with these folding foundations on my own. The box they were delivered in was a bit heavy and awkward to get into the house (I wish all large boxes had handles punched into them), but once I did, it was easy enough to maneuver the foundations into place under my existing mattress. Another plus is that they lift the mattress above a one inch lip around the bed's platform, making it quite a bit easier to put clean sheets on.
