This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. This Queen size bed headboard has three height sizes and storage! Assembly was about 4-5 hours, however another person was needed to add the hydraulic platform. Every part assembled was sturdy and seemed to be well made. I was expecting, maybe some sort of “board” to be at the bottom of the storage area instead of just a piece of material. However, it will definitely work as a dust guard. The framing fabric is soft and tightly woven (I didn’t see any loose thread). The hydraulic lift is controlled with a strap, and also has a locking strap to prevent uncontrolled pop-ups and the slats have attachment connectors to stay positioned. This is a solid, well-made bed. I was especially pleased at the quality of the wood. This is not MDF or fiberboard. This is a seven layer plywood with oak veneer. I encountered no problems whatsoever during assembly. The pieces fit perfectly together, and were flush and square.
