I was able to put the bed together myself. The hardest part was attaching the side panels. It was much easier to attach to the headboard to the side panels (I just laid the headboard down flat and put the side rails perpendicular and put in the screws, however then to hold all that and attach to the footboard was a little struggle. I used some of the packaging material to set up a lift. I think the look is very western, Victorian and rustic. I do enjoy the frame but for wooden floors I do not recommend it. The pegs in the middle that hold the bed up keep sliding out and the bed moves around. Even with a carpet and a carpet pad. The bed frame is lovely. I put it together by myself in about 2.5 hours. I did add extra slats because I worried that the spacing between them would be too far apart for my mattress. The color is SLIGHTLY warmer than pictured as others have said but it’s not like WARM. It’s been study so far and we love how it looks in our room.
