It's beautiful, I liked it, but I think it is more suitable for storing butter, on the kitchen counter, to use when cooking. I needed to use butter for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the dinner table. It is a beautiful tray. The first one I received had a scratch, but when I called, Wayfair quickly arranged to take it back and send me another one. The surface of the tray isn't entirely smooth. I ordered two to put on both nightstands in my master bedroom. There were some damage on the top of the wood on both nightstands and this has really elevated the look.
