I chose a quartz sink to replace a stainless steel one that I could not prevent making pot marks in or remove them from the stainless. The quartz sink looks beautiful. I bought my current home five years ago and struggled with the large "farmhouse" stainless under-mount sink. I had to haul out a plastic dishpan if I wanted to have soapy water.
