We used these tiles in a bathroom because they are slightly rough, nonslip, nonabsorbent and tough. We cut them in half so they appear to match an existing tile/brick outside of the bathroom. You do have to be careful when cutting the ends they are somewhat brittle and can chip. Once I got they hang of it I no longer chipped them but it was a bit of a hassle.. Lea. Santa Fe, NM. Can't say I love the result. Because I have to dump water from this mini pond I thought it may be easier than real rock (I'm 70), but these are heavy & I had to cut one down on back side. This is within my catio, this boy was born deaf. Also had to order two packs to get coverage, so have three more to place somewhere.
