My home backs up to a small wilderness area and I have real California Quail running through my yard frequently, so had to purchase them. I bought this item, as well as the 'looking up" model about one-month ago, and after arranging both on a flat rock surface within a cacti/succulent area planter, they look great. Gave as a gift so haven’t seen it in person. Was sent a picture of it by the recipient, and it does look nice, although the actual colors are definitely darker and more somber looking and the large quails are differently sized and without the white stripe on the chest.
