This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I love this couch so far! It was very easy to assemble. No tools needed! There's just metal grooves that click in together. The seat cushions are kinda hard. Also, the seat cushions are a little too small to fit on the base, so I had to fill the small gap with one of the pillows. I really like that it comes with 4 small pillows! Keep in mind that the couch is quite low to the ground and the seats are not that deep, so I recommend getting an ottoman so that you can rest your feet. The material is very soft, but I'm scared to wash it because I feel like its gonna start thinning. Anyways, overall I'm happy with it!
