This is the second type of privacy static window film that we have recently purchased. The first type was extremely easy to use; however, although this had the same directions, it was much more difficult to adhere to the window. It took us quite a while to work all of the bubbles out and it had a very strong vinyl smell that the other type did not have. My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. I have been able to lower my thermostat an average of about 2-3 degrees during the day since applying the film and I no longer have to keep the blinds closed tight all day. Surprisingly, it didnt make my room seem dark. The photo above shows the doors with film on the right side only and you can see it doesnt darken the room much. Meh. The pattern presents in the photo as smaller than actuality. In other words, in reality, you don’t see quite that many shapes or colors because they are all larger, so they cover more surface area. Also I thought the frostedness looked cheap and the opacity texture is irregular.
